He was born in 1920 in the village of Zhylandy, Akzhayik district, West Kazakhstan region. Kazakh poet, soldier. Laureate of the State Prize of the USSR, People's Writer of Kazakhstan. He studied at the Ural agricultural technical school, military-political courses. In 1940-1947 he was in the army and participated in the Great Patriotic War. Worked in the editorial offices of "Leninshil Jas" (1948-1952), Kazakhstan Writers' Union (1953-1971), "Kazakh Literature" (1955-1956) and "Zhuldyz" magazine (1958-1963). The first poem was published in 1939 under the name "Lenin is alive" in the newspaper "Komsomol Urpagi". More than sixty books have been published in the years since his poem appeared in the newspaper. The first collection was published in 1949 under the title "Victory Songs". Most of Zhuban Moldagaliyev's poems are dominated by civility and sentimental lyrics. One of them was awarded the highest State Prize in 1970 for the poem "Kisen ashkan". In 1970, 2 volumes of selected works of Zhuban Moldagaliyev were published. He also worked fruitfully in the field of artistic translation and journalism. His works have been translated into English, German, French, Polish, Spanish, Hungarian, Arabic, Mongolian. Zhuban Moldagaliyev was elected as the 7th elected deputy of the Supreme Council of the Kazakh SSR, Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Kazakh SSR, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan (XII-XII Congresses). Zh. Moldagaliev was twice awarded with the Red Banner of Labor and the 2nd degree of the Patriotic War, "Badge of Honor", medals.
